LARGO - At Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive, Largo, join author Dr. Kevin McCarthy of the University of Florida at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, as he presents his program on African American History in Florida as well as presenting his new book African American Sites in Florida. Dr. McCarthy has written extensively about Florida history and culture. His books cover such diverse topics as aviation, baseball, African Americans, Native Americans, and Christmas (to name a few) from a Florida perspective.
