All Pinellas County residents are invited to nominate individuals for the People of Pinellas Award, which recognizes individuals who serve their community. Each month, Chairman Ronnie Duncan will honor a People of Pinellas Award recipient at a county commission meeting.
The commission is looking to recognize the county's unsung heroes, those citizens who go above and beyond to find ways they can help make Pinellas County a better place to live. The award recipients must be residents of the county.
"The People of Pinellas Award gives us a chance to shine the spotlight on one of the thousands of community minded residents living, working and giving of themselves in our community," said Duncan. "The People of Pinellas donate time and resources to enrich their society to help our neighborhoods, to affect our world in a positive manner."
People of Pinellas Award nominations are available at www.pinellascounty.org/commission/peopleofpinellas.htm,where they can be easily submitted on-line.
