The Shell Show is an opportunity for people to exhibit their favorite shell or shells. The exhibits include educational, scientific (including the Smithsonian Award), colorful and just plain fun. Awards are given for crafts (like quilts, mirrors, clothes, decorations, and sailor's valentines), unusual snails, and museum type exhibits, in addition to the scientific Smithsonian Award.
The show includes hourly door prizes. Some vendors with shell related items will be present to sell both specimen and craft items.
New This Year - There are several shell workshops for kids, who are then able to take home what they make, This is a great place to observe nature's beauty or explore the many ways shells and their animals contribute to our lives.
