The Clearwater Yacht Club and Clearwater Community Sailing Center are hosting the top United States Snipe sailors March 11th through the 13th. They will compete in the Gulf of Mexico for the privilege of representing the United States at the Pan American Games to be held July 2007 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This event is combined with the 69th Snipe Midwinter Championship. Fifty sailors from around the world are expected to compete in this event, the first of a three event series which moves on to Miami and Nassau.
Racing is scheduled from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily in the Gulf of Mexico southwest of Clearwater Pass.
