LARGO - Sitting at home alone is no fun for anyone. Obstacle courses, art and crafts contests and out of this world field trips are only a glimpse of what is in store for your teen during the 13 weeks they have no school. Largo offers over 40 camps for your teen to choose from.
The City of Largo Recreation, Parks & Arts Department, in partners with the Juvenile Welfare Board, is providing summer camp scholarships on a first come, first serve basis. Scholarships will cover nearly all fees bringing your costs to $11 a week.
Do you qualify? The requirements are: Pinellas County youths between 10-14, must provide proof of eligibility in the Pinellas County free or reduced lunch program, have a Largo Recreation Card and attend camp for at least 8 weeks.
