Tommy Duff's Irish Aviation Pub & Eatery to Host 8th Annual "World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade"

Tommy Duff's Irish Aviation Pub & Eatery will hold its 8th Annual "World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade" on Saturday, March 17th. The parade will start at 4:05 p.m.

This year the parade salutes the great work and improved environment of the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Tommy Duff's Irish Aviation Pub & Eatery has named the Aquarium's own "Tully O'Turtle" as its Grand Marshal. The Aquarium is undergoing major renovation and everyone is encouraged to stop by and see the work and improvements first hand.

As for the parade, join "Tully" with Tommy Duff's "Semi-Emeritus" Grand Marshal Gary "Hot Sauce" Gray and the Hordes (Normally as many as 300) of Irish and "Irish - for the Day" on this short stroll along the Memorial Causeway lead by a Bagpiper and Irish Step Dancers. You'll find the young and old, with kids and pets, plenty of beads and lots of energy.

"It's such a great time says Kelly Thomas. "I look forward to it every year. It just keeps getting bigger! Pretty soon the parade line-up will be longer than its whole route!"

Actually, the parade leaves from the Pub's parking lot located in the Island Estates (Publix) Plaza. The parade is headed across the street to the Tiki Deck at the Island Way Grill. However, conditions being what they are (Irishness, You Know), the paraders wander a course that takes them down the Memorial Causeway to the pedestrian underpass and then while making their way back to the pub, they finally find the Island Way Grill. After a quick stop there for a wee bit of nourishment and a Piper's tune or two, they return to the celebration at the best St. Patrick's Day Party this side of the Old Sod!

See you at Tommy Duff's. (located at 126 Island Way, Island Estates (Publix) Plaza at Clearwater Beach. For more information, call Tommy Duff at (727) 449-1366.
