Gulf Coast Community Care provides that relationship by matching Adult Mentors with children in need. Volunteers spend a few hours a week sharing activities and interests with a child such as visiting parks, arts and crafts, sports and active listening. They provide a positive role model and individual attention.
Volunteers receive formal orientation and training. Professional case managers follow matches to assure a positive experience for both the children and the volunteers. Gulf Coast offers you a chance to become a mentor and make a real difference in the life of a child!
Adults Mentoring Children also sponsors group activities for matches, including an annual picnic, a bowling party, a holiday party and other fun group opportunities.
