Photos/Text by SANDI FAHY

(from left) Linda Ruhrup, Louise Shelton, Linda McPherson, Jane Mirasola and Jacki Gehring of Heart of Pinellas Decorative Artists display some of the keepsake boxes they handpainted for patients at the Shriners Hospital for Children. The boxes were on display at the group's annual Garden Tea Party Basket Luncheon at Faith Presbyterian Church on March 10. Proceeds from the event fund ongoing projects for the hospital and Habitat for Humanity and charities such as the St. Giles Food Pantry, SPCA Tampa Bay and Decorative Artists' Education Foundation. Over 200 persons were in attendance.

Members of Heart of Pinellas Decorative Artists are pictured with some of the handpainted welcome signs which were presented on March 10 to Habitat for Humanity for the homes of clients. Tirrah Switzer, Habitat for Humanity development associate, standing, far left, was on hand to accept the donation at the artists' annual Garden Tea Party Basket Luncheon at Faith Presbyterian Church. Pictured with her are (seated l-r) Pat Stone, Nancy Grenier, (standing, l-r) Ruth Johnson, Toni Hoffer, Louise Shelton, Linda Ruhrup and Laura Prokop.
