LARGO - Bay area animal lovers who have dreamed of becoming canine dog trainers will have their chance. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Tampa Bay seeks 30 dedicated volunteer dog trainers of their Family Dog Training Program.
These individuals will have the opportunity to learn training methods implemented by some of the top trainers in the country at no monetary cost. An intense 6-week hands-on training will be followed by a commitment of volunteer hours.
Trained volunteers will make a difference, increasing adoption rates by building a foundation for good behavior for homeless pets and assist in behavior classes for the public. Learn, teach and save lives.
