Brazilian Castro Neves went on to win the race for the second consecutive year. Using an alternative fuel strategy, Andretti led from lap 69 through 72 and set the fastest race lap time, but he was unable to overtake Castro Neves and finished 4th; "It's follow-the-leader out there. It's just tough to pass," Andretti said after the race.
