LARGO - Two exciting art workshops in April for kids ages 6-11 will introduce them to the art of great contemporary artists featured in An Adventure in the Arts: Selections from the Permanent Collection of the Guild Hall Museum, East Hampton, NY at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art. The classes will be held in the Museum's studio classrooms.
Get Into the Action, Painting that is! Move and Paint Like Jackson Pollock will have the children moving to music and painting through dripping and pouring. The workshop will be held 10 a.m. - noon, on Saturday, April 14. Home is Where the Art Is: Collage a la Miriam Schapiro will incorporate colorful bits of fabric, paper and other materials to create works of art. This workshop will be held 10 a.m. - noon, on Saturday, April 28. Talented instructor and artist, Pam Miles, will lead the workshops.
The cost is $10 per child per class and includes gallery admission for the child and a parent to view the exhibition and permanent collection in the Gulf Coast Museum of Art. For reservations call (727) 518-6833 ext. 203.
