Youngsters Excel at 4-H Demonstration Day

(from left) Victoria Cook, Miranda Gale, Elinor Gale and Olivia Cook pose for a photo before taking part in the fashion show held in conjunction with 4-H Demonstration Day at the Pinellas Extension Service on March 31. Victoria, 13, is wearing the "special occasion" dress she chose for judging in the Fashion Revue Clothing Selection event. Miranda, 10, and Elinor, 8, are modeling "school wear" they made for the Fashion Revue Clothing Construction category and Olivia, 11, shows off her sewing talents with a two-piece "active wear" outfit. All received blue ribbons for their efforts. Victoria, Elinor and Olivia will advance to the district competition. The Gale sisters are members of the Silver Thimbelinas 4-H Club. The Cooks are affiliated with the 4-Him 4-H Club.

Jackson Garcia of the Average Joes 4-H Club. age 10, shows how to make simple electrical connections at 4-H Demonstration Day on March 31. His presentation in the Mechanical & Electronic Science category earned him a blue ribbon.
