LARGO - The Fishin' Mission Fishing Club will host its first meeting on Thursday, April 26, from 7 - 9 p.m. in the Fellowship Center at the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks, 12685 Ulmerton Road in Largo. The club will meet each month on the last Thursday of the month, thereafter.
"Fishing and Boating are increasingly becoming popular activities for families who want to spend quality time together," said Ken Jones founder. The Fishin' Mission is a great way to learn more about these great pastimes, meet new friends, learn tips from professionals and have fun fellowshipping with other fishermen.
More than 50 million Americans fish every year - that's more than play golf or tennis combined. We are pleased to be able to offer this worthwhile effort to re-connect families in our community through fishing and boating. Families are discovering that fishing and boating are activities that they can participate in and have fun with while growing closer together…time spent on the water connects people.
There is no membership fee to join. Food is available at very reasonable prices. Each month The Fishin' Mission will focus on one or more aspects of saltwater fishing, boating, conservation and safety. Door prizes, contests and interesting and fun topics will make the Fishin Mission Fishing Club a monthly event that you won't want to miss.
