Clearwater Audubon Society "Conservation through Education"

Field Trips - All field trips are open to the public and most are free. Van trips involve sharing van rental expenses and require a reservation three days before the trip. Overnight trips involve additional costs for lodging and travel and also require reservations. In all cases, a contact is noted who can provide additional details. When the meeting place is Tri City Shopping Center, assemble outside the Party City store near US Rt. 19. When the meeting place is Countryside Shopping Town, assemble outside the Sears store near US Rt.19. Where there are no bathroom facilities at the field trip site, the trip is marked X; rest stops will be provided en route. For all trips please bring drinking water.

VAN, Saturday, 5/5 at 6:45 a.m. - Lake Kissimmee & Ridge Audubon Center: Caracaras, Bobwhites, Scrub Jays, Eagles, Turkeys, Snail Kites & waders at Lake; Towhees, Vireos & Nighthawks at Ridge. LONG DAY, bring food, beverage, insect repellant. Meet at Tri-City Shopping Center. Contact: Lynn Sumerson at 596-8822.

Saturday, 5/12 at 9 a.m. - Clam Bayou walking & canoe/kayak trip: 5 mile trail plus 3 mile paddle for shore, water, wader, raptor & songbird on Boca Ciega Bay. Bring Lunch and Water: Meet at Tri-City Shopping Center. Contact: Jane Williams at 447-7394.

Monday, 5/28 at 7:30 a.m. - Bay Pines Veterans Memorial Park & Suncoast Sea Bird Sanctuary: Shorebirds, waders, raptors & songbirds; honor America's fallen heroes. Meet at first parking lot on right. Contact: Clay Kelsey at 712-1770.
