WESLEY CHAPEL - Boy Scouts Golf Spectacular, a unique community event to support Gulf Ridge Council, Boy Scouts of America camping facilities, will be held Saturday, May 12, at the Saddlebrook Golf & Tennis Resort.
More than just a golf tournament, the Boy Scouts Golf Spectacular will bring
golfers, parents and others together with sports equipment dealers and manufacturers, professional sports franchises and media outlets in a unique marketing and charitable endeavor that will benefit restoration of the Council's camping facilities which were badly damaged by hurricanes Charlie, Frances and Jeanne.
Participants will enjoy a great day of golf; lunch and dinner; and an opportunity to compete for a broad range of valuable gifts which will include sporting equipment, elegant travel awards, and prizes that will surprise everybody.
"Our Golf Spectacular is a very special program offering golfers quality fishing, baseball, and tennis equipment; an assortment of PGA luggage; unprecedented weekend travel awards donated by the Ritz Carlton Resorts in Sarasota and West Palm Beach as well as the Marriott Hotels; day fishing trips; and much more," said Denny Antram, the event's director.
Sponsors will take advantage of a number of opportunities, from Title Sponsor to Presenting Sponsor, to the Awards Sponsor and Luncheon Sponsor. Individual golfers can play 18 holes for $200; groups of two, four and eight can reserve various packages.

The day begins with registration and opening of the Expo at 10 a.m. Lunch

youngsters in eight West Central Florida counties.
