LARGO - The Heart of Largo, It's Who We Are! It's the second year for this picnic themed event on May 5th, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Largo is a family community and loves to celebrate it. Entertainment will include local favorites like Lorna Bracewell, as well as the watermelon and pie-eating contests. Local business, not-for-profit organizations and civic groups will be hosting activities. You can ride the Largo Central Railroad train through the park, play horseshoes, volley ball or make your mark on the paint board. Add food and concessions to all that, and you have a wonderful picnic day in Largo Central Park.
The event is free. Parking is limited on site. Off site parking with free shuttle service is available from Largo High School and the Pinellas County School Board Offices. Please, no coolers or alcohol. For more information, call 727-587-6740, ext. 5014.
