Suncoast Water Works Synchronized Swimming Team Event Results

The Suncoast Water Works Synchronized Swimming Team based in Largo Florida, has returned from Tallahassee big winners at the "Florida Association" meet April 14-15.

Competing against other Florida based Synchro teams, ribbons were won by all three Suncoast teams competing as well as a number of swimmers, competing in Individual, Duet and Trio events.

In the Intermediate category, the Suncoast Team took second place at this meet. Team members included Gabrielle Andolino, Kayla Bell, Anthonia Boulieris, Ashley Henry, Darrya Keshvari, Amanda Orsagos, Nikki Sclafani, and Molly Siegel

In addition to these team events, Athonia Boulieris won the Solo competition age 11-12 as well as the figures competition age 11-12, Ashley Henry, Amanda Orsagos and Molly Siegel won the Trio competition age 13-15 and Gabrielle Andolino, and Kayla Bell took second in Duets age 13-15.

Winners in the Advanced Team event ages 13-15 were Katy Alexander, Sarah Cooke, Anna Dunwody, Marissa Foreit, Kimberly Goyack, Emmy Minteer, and Shea Souliere.

Suncoast swimmers swept the top three spots in the Solo competition age 13-15. Kimberly Goyack took first, Sarah Cooke second and Katy Alexander third. These three also took first in Trios age 13-15.

In the 16-17 age category, the team of Elise Foreit, Laurie Goyack, Katie Nesbit, Jeanine O'Connell and Erin Ritz took first in the Team category with Elise Foreit, Laurie Goyack, and Katie Nesbit also taking first in the Trio competition. Katie Nesbit and Erin Ritz followed with a second place finish in the Duet competition.

All swimmers and teams placing in the top three of each category qualify to move on and compete at the next meet, the "Florida, Georgia, Alabama South Zone Regional Championships" May 11-13. This 3 day meet will bring swimmers together from the three states making up the South Zone. It is being hosted by the Suncoast Water Works team at the Southwest Pool in Largo. Being the host team for the event this year they will be busy both swimming and running the meet. The meet is open to all spectators wanting to check out our local Synchro Team or just cheer them on.
