TAMPA - The Hazelden Foundation is hosting its Women Healing conference titled "Pathways to Hope and Healing" on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort at 400 Mandalay Ave. Day one of the conference offers inspiration and education to a broad range of professionals who work with women suffering from addictions. Day two of the conference offers an opportunity to celebrate recovery through inspiring, empowering and educational programs. Speakers include Brené Brown, Ph.D., Mary Faulkner, and best-selling author Karen Casey, Ph.D.
The Hazelden Foundation, a national nonprofit organization founded in 1949, helps people reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction. Hazelden's comprehensive approach to addiction addresses the full range of patient, family, and professional needs, including treatment and continuing care, research, higher learning, public education and advocacy and publishing. Continuing education hours are offered each day.
