LARGO - Largo Rec is hosting a free family event to kick-off the summer! The entire afternoon is free of charge so families and friends can enjoy a beautiful summer day lounging or splashing in the refreshing water. The Kick-off to Summer will also include a hot dog and drink. Diving boards will be open with successful completion of a water test. Floats and tubes will be available or you can bring your own to this special day. While you are at the pool, try exploring underwater with the Discover Scuba program through Sunshine Scuba with Instructor Trainer Heather Sutter. One must be 12 years of age and have a parent or legal guardian sign a waiver before participating.
The event is open to all ages and will take place on May 19, from 12 - 4 p.m., at the South West Pool, located at 13120 Vonn Road. For more details, call 518-3126 or log onto www.largo.com.
