The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, administered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, is a statewide volunteer program that advocates for residents living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. The program investigates complaints concerning safety and welfare of these residents and also conducts annual assessments to ensure facilities are in licensed compliances.
