As of this Friday, the final structural asphalt and striping on Phase I of Beach Walk is scheduled for completion. The final traffic pattern will be in place and ready for the Memorial Day weekend. There are remaining features yet to be put in place such as landscaping, light poles, and trash receptacles. Those features will be installed with minimal impact on traffic. Westra Construction has made every effort to minimize the impact to business owners, residents, pedestrians and traffic while working on Phase I.
Nelson Construction expects to reopen the Pier 60 parking lot in June. You will see that new palm trees have been planted in the parking lot and temporary lighting will be installed until the permanent fixtures are delivered.
The next Hard Hat Meeting is 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, at Frenchy's at Rockaway, 7 Rockaway on Clearwater Beach. Note that this is a change in location.
