CLEARWATER First grade students in Ms. Erin Debo's class at North Ward Elementary met their teacher's challenge to increase their reading time at home. Ms. Debo promised to cut her blonde hair and donate it to Locks of Love, an organization which accepts donations of hair to make wigs for children who have lost their hair after cancer treatments.
After completing four consecutive reading logs, students actually cut 12 inches from Ms. Debo's hair and wrote a poem to preserve the moment.
