The Plein Aire Cottage Artists were presented with an Organizational Achievement Award- Outstanding Category at the 28th Annual Statewide Preservation Award Ceremony and Reception at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida. The artists Helen Tilston, Mary Rose Holmes and Violetta received recognition in the Organizational Achievement Outstanding Category for their contribution to the preservation of Florida's historic resources by drawing attention to Indian Rocks Beach cottages through their gift as artists. They have made the State aware of the value of these old Florida structures and the fragility of our history.
