Beachgoers enjoyed Memorial Day weekend in Clearwater. Phase I of Beach Walk is essentially complete as all driving lanes are open on Coronado Drive. There may be an occasional short-term road closure with minimal impact on traffic, as detail work is done on sidewalks and lighting. Hamden Drive is open while work on the seawall continues in the green space area.
The Pier 60 attendant parking lot will reopen next week. Landscaping is almost done in that area and work on the sandwall, bikeway and walkway is also nearing completion. A new traffic signal will be operating at Coronado Drive and Gulfview Boulevard to help traffic exiting the parking lot.
The next Hard Hat Meeting is 9:15 a.m., Tuesday, June 5, at Frenchy's at Rockaway, 7 Rockaway St. on Clearwater Beach.
