Leading Ladies Celebrate their 25-Year Anniversary

On May 24, at the Carlouel Yacht Club, the Leading Ladies celebrated 25 years of fundraising and fun-raising for the Youth Education Programs of Ruth Eckerd Hall with the installation of officers for 2007-2008, the presentation of proceeds of the year's fundraising efforts, and a performance by the Ruth Eckerd Hall Teen Performing Troupe.

Chairman of the Board of the PAC Foundation, Inc. dully installed the Leading Ladies Executive Officers - president - Kelly Machbitz; 1st vice president - Bridget Meyer; 2nd vice president - Sandra Stroyne; recording secretary- Rita Wilson; corresponding secretary - Jenny Austin; treasurer - Sue Bowles and assistant treasurer - Charlotte Picker.

President Kelly Machbitz and treasurer Sue Bowles then presented a check for $80,000 representing the proceeds from POSH Sale, Parties, Potpourri, Breakfast with Santa, and Winter Wonderland to the President/CEO of Ruth Eckerd Hall Robert Freeman and Director of the Teen Performing Troupe Rosanna Sheppard.

The Ruth Eckerd Hall Performing Troupe, a very talented group of ten Pinellas County high school students sang lively show tunes from the 40's through present day to the delight of members and guests. This group's main task is to visit and entertain residents and patients in local medical facilities.
