GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club and Heather's Place to Fund Cancer Scholarship
(l-r) GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club President Sandy Incorvia, Heather's Place owner Heather Conrad, and Club Project Chair Phyllis Zamas share the good news about the college scholarship. All it took was a bunch of generous people eating delicious Italian food to create a $3000 college scholarship for a local student for the 2008-2009 school year. The GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club and Heather's Place, located at 519 2nd St. S. in Safety Harbor, teamed up to fund the Making Dreams Come True college scholarship program sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The program is open to all Florida residents who are United States citizens and received a diagnosis of cancer before age 21. This scholarship will be given to a Pinellas County student and the deadline is April 2008. For further information, contact www.cancer.org.
