Why I am against amnesty for illegals in the United StatesI have heard these figures quoted on talk shows: either 15 or 25 U.S. citizens are being killed every day by illegal aliens - half of them by drunk drivers and half by criminals. If this is true, more Americans are being killed here at home than are being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. (Perhaps some newspaper could put their pictures in the paper once a week and tell how they died). Perhaps we can thank Al Qaeda for that. If I remember right, back in the 70's some of the Islamic countries were boycotting the United States because we were giving aid and arms to Israel. When the boycott failed, they went to Plan B, flood the U.S. with illegal aliens knowing that the illegals could cause many deaths; one way to get even with us. Many of the illegals are criminals as you can read about all the gangs in the Tampa Bay area, also in the South Florida area and other parts of the country - and more are coming in all the time with our open borders. And Congress wants to give these people amnesty? They drew up a bill and tried to shove it through before anyone could read it. WHY? The great majority of Americans are against this Amnesty Bill and Congress knows it. Why are they still trying to shove it down our throats? Worker's permits for those who are not criminals, explusion for criminals and no citizenship for anyone here illegally. Robert S. Horning
