Pinellas Animal Foundation Call for Nominations for the Col. Edward T. Imparato Awards ST. PETERSBURG - The Pinellas Animal Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2007 Col. Edward T. Imparato Hero Awards through August 1, 2007. The awards celebrate the importance of the human/animal bond in either a heroic act or life long efforts. Nominations can be made in one of three categories: 1. Individual Community Hero - a person who works with people or community organizations that demonstrate the importance of the human/animal bond. 2. Animal Hero - a pet who participates in therapy or aides a human in need. 3. Veterinarian Hero - a doctor who is committed to strengthen the human/animal bond through work with animal organizations or the community. Winners will receive two tickets and will be honored at the 9th Annual Bowser Ball at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club on September 29, 2007. Nominations must be received no later than August 1, 2007.
