Herrbert M. SomersonHerrbert M. Somerson, age 87, died at his home in South Dartmouth, Massachusetts on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, following a long illness. He was born on September 7, 1919 in Philadelphia to Samuel and Helen Somerson. He attended the University of Wisconsin and Dickinson College, and received a law degree at the University of Pennsylvania, after which he practiced law for several decades in Philadelphia. He retired to Clearwater Beach. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Ileana Somerson, son Paul Somerson and his wife Terry, daughter Rosanne Somerson and her husband Alphonse Mattia, and sister Betty Aptaker and her husband Ed. A second son Michael recently passed away in Troy, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, at The Dartmouth Grange, 1133 Fisher Road, Dartmouth, Mass.
