Special Programs

  • Wednesday, 7/11, at 7 p.m. - Becoming Storm Savvy: Busting Hurricane Myths. Tom Iovino, Public Information Officer with Pinellas County Emergency Management, will dispel many popular myths about hurricanes, and discuss how to avoid the most common hurricane season pitfalls.
  • Saturday, 7/21, from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. End of Summer Luncheon Featuring Jeff Klinkenberg. An award-winning writer, Jeff Klinkenberg's presentation is entitled "10 Books Every Floridian Should Read." Tickets for the luncheon are available at the Adult Reference Desk for $5. The deadline to purchase a ticket is Monday, July 16th. If you wish to attend the program only, it's free and will start around noon.

Genealogy Assistance - The Caladesi Chapter of the DAR will assist you every Thursday from 1-4 in Study Room 4.

Computer Classes - All classes meet in Community Room A. Classes are in lecture form with demonstrations. They meet Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. For more information, call 298-3080, ext. 253.
