GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club to Host Empowering Women Program for Teens and Adults

CLEARWATER - The community is invited to an empowering women program for teens and adults at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 16, at the Countryside Public Library, 2741 State Road 580 in Clearwater. Sponsored by the GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club and The Haven Domestic Violence Shelter, Joy McRae-Fox will lead an informative discussion about domestic violence. Admission is free. The Woman's Club was recently honored by the GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Clubs and named Club of the Year for the third consecutive year. The Club won awards in the areas of conservation, home life, international affairs, public affairs, membership, leadership, public relations, newsletter, yearbook, empowering women and domestic violence. The GFWC North Pinellas Woman's Club and the GFWC Clearwater Junior Woman's Club shared the honor of the D. Judith Lutz Federation Interaction Award.

The Club meets monthly at the Countryside Public Library. The next meeting is Monday, August 20, at 6:30 p.m. For further information, visit www.NorthPinellasWC.org. The Club was created in 2003 and is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs International.
