Public Meetings to Discuss TRIM and City Budgets

CLEARWATER - Clearwater city officials have scheduled a series of meetings to discuss the proposed city budget for the fiscal year beginning October 2007.

Budget workshops, slated for Monday, July 16, following the city council work session and Wednesday, July 25, at 3 p.m., will give city council members an opportunity to discuss the proposed budget, related service levels and proposed millage rate.

Public comment will be invited when the City Council discusses the 2007/08 Truth in Millage (TRIM) rate at its regular July 19 meeting and a third special budget meeting Monday, August 13, at 6 p.m.

The public may review the preliminary budget online at the city's Web site: http://www.myclearwater.com/gov/depts/omb/.

All meetings will be held at Clearwater City Hall Council Chambers, 112 S. Osceola Ave. and will be televised and rebroadcast on C-VIEW15. Streaming video of the meeting will also be posted online at www.myclearwater.com.
