Bluffs Plans Family Fun DayBELLEAIR BLUFFS - The Bluffs BBQ and Family Fun Day will be Saturday, July 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Belleair Bluffs City Hall and Community Center. The event will feature food, fun, door prizes, entertainment and a dessert contest. Participants should bring their best baked dessert in any of the four categories, including cookies, pies, cakes and other. Entries must be presented by 10:30 a.m. Judging will begin at 11. Also featured will be a Kids Poetry Contest. Kids are encouraged to write a short poem about what school means to them or what they did over the summer vacation. Entries should be no more than one page and must be presented by 10:30. Include name and age at the top of the page. A barbecue chicken dinner, prepared by the Belleair Bluffs Firefighters Association, will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $6 prior to July 28 or $7 the day of the event and includes baked beans, macaroni salad and a roll.
