More Youth Volunteers NeededPhoto by SANDI FAHY
Enjoying nature while helping out at Moccasin Lake Nature Park this summer are youth volunteers (from left) Kira Rib, Anabelle Longe and Morgan La Terza. Kira is holding a tiny White's tree frog. The tiny snake held by Anabelle is a Florida banded water snake. Morgan shows the gulf hammock gray rat snake which resides at the facility. Park supervisor Cliff Norris advised the park can use more youth volunteers, especially during the school year. Students can earn community service credits toward Bright Futures scholarships for college, he said. Volunteers must be age 12 or older. Interested persons may call Norris at 462-6024 for more information.
