- Each year FBS bloodmobiles travel over 250,000 miles across the four-county area to reach out to corporations, organizations, and community blood donors to make the donation process convenient and to ensure that blood needs are met.
- FBS' transport team crosses 800,000 miles to carry blood units for testing and delivery to hospitals, ambulatory centers, and the airport.
- FBS is an official Donor Center and Apheresis Center for the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). Tampa Bay area volunteer marrow donors have provided life-saving Marrow for Peripheral Blood Stem Calls 204 times throughout its affiliation with the NMDP.
- FBS is one of only six U.S. blood center hubs designated to provide blood to the military in times of need.
