Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater! 2008 to be Held

CLEARWATER - Board President Muhammad Abdur-Rahim has announced that the 17th Annual Paint Your Heart Out Clearwater! will be held Saturday, March 1st, 2008. Since its start in 1992, Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater has painted 345 single-family homes to improve the community. "This is a great opportunity to make a visible difference in our neighborhoods," says Clearwater Mayor Frank Hibbard.

Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater! is looking for 25 homes to paint for free. To qualify, the homeowner must have a limited income, be unable to afford a commercial painter, be unable to do the work themselves and be 62 or older, disabled or a single parent. The home must be an owner-occupied single-family residence located in the city limits of Clearwater and require only minor exterior work.
