A massive bake sale was held during Gracie's Big Splash. BELLEAIR - "Gracie's Big Splash" on Brewster Field Sunday was indeed big and splashy. Organizers estimate that 500 people showed up in support of Gracie and her family. Family friend, Kathy Helmus said Tuesday, "All of our expectations were exceeded." All donations from the event went to the Gracie Purdy Assistance Account at Wachovia Bank for the local 5-year-old suffering from an inoperable tumor growing on her brain stem. She is receiving radiation and chemotherapy treatments at All Children's Hospital.
