Beach Walk Construction Updateprovided by the City of ClearwaterPhase II of Beach Walk is nearing completion. Beach Walk construction south of the Barefoot Beach House will begin later this month. Construction work on the Hyatt Aqualea is underway. This means increased activity in these areas. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to use extra caution in all construction zones and to obey posted speed limits. Effective Sept. 9, the PSTA bus stop on Gulfview Boulevard south of Fifth Street is temporarily being moved to Bayway Boulevard near the Hess Station. Passengers using the PSTA Suncoast Trolley that runs from St. Pete Beach to Clearwater Beach will be able to transfer to Bus #80 that goes to the mainland and points north at that location. The next Hard Hat Meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 2, 9:30 a.m. at the Marriott Suites on Sand Key, 1201 Gulf Blvd. The targeted date for substantially completing the Beach Walk project is before Super Bowl 2009.
