Sean Tennant drags a 360-lb. tire backwards toward the finish line in the 2007 NAS Suncoast Strongman Scorcher competition at the Countryside Recreation Center earlier this month. Participants from all over the state competed in five events: log bar carry, tire drag, pressing medley, loading medley and farmer's deadlift. Tennant placed second overall in the Novice Heavy division. Florida is home to several nationally-ranked Strongmen, including Tom Mitchell, #2 Master Heavyweight; Tom Roman, #5 Master Lightweight; and Kiel DiGennaro, #18 Open Lightweight.
