(from right to left) Ilene Beacham, Neighborly Care Network Meals on Wheels site coordinator, greets volunteers Fred Snook and Terri Horne at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clearwater as they prepare to deliver hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors on a recent Monday morning. Snook has served as a volunteer for the past six years. Horne has contributed her services for the past two years. More volunteers are needed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Pickup and delivery of meals takes about 1.5 hours. All volunteers receive training. For more information, call Pat Hofstadter at 573-9444, ext. 291. Neighborly Care Network, formerly Neighborly Senior Services, has been assisting seniors in this area since 1966.
Neighborly Care Network Senior Dining Program volunteers Rita Bleck, standing at left, and Eileen Bollinger, standing at right, serve (seated l-r) Mary Conti and Louise Schmieser at Faith Lutheran Church in Clearwater recently. Bleck and Bollinger are among the volunteers who help set tables and distribute food to seniors who come to the Neighborly Care dining site for lunch. Bleck is also in charge of Bingo games.
