
Town of Indian Shores to Hold Utility Pole Eradication CeremonyOn Monday, Sept. 17, the Town of Indian Shores will hold a Utility Pole Eradication Ceremony to celebrate the removal of overhead utility poles, part of the total municipal utility under-grounding effort. The ceremony will be 10:30 a.m. at the Pinellas County Park Boulevard Boat Ramp, 18651 Gulf Blvd. in Indian Shores. The last remaining utility pole in the southern section of the Town will be removed by Progress Energy engineers as part of the ceremony. Local, county, state and federal elected officials have been invited to attend and the public is welcome to join the festivities.
