Gasparilla Festival of the Arts Official Call to Artists
TAMPA - As one of the top-rated outdoor fine art and fine craft shows in the country, the Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts is officially calling all artists to apply for its prestigious 2008 show being held March 1-2. Each year a select number of accomplished artists and rising stars from around the globe are chosen to participate in this celebrated show. This year these remarkable artists will vie for the coveted $15,000 Raymond James Best of Show Award and an additional $52,500 in prize money.
More than 300 national and international award-winning artists, chosen from over 1,100 applicants, will travel to Lykes Gaslight Square Park and Franklin Street in downtown Tampa where they will showcase works of art to more than 250,000 art enthusiasts. Representing more than 11 different mediums, the chosen artists will enjoy amenities that include an artist's welcome dinner, hospitality center, light meals and refreshments, booth-sitting services and near-site parking.
On March 1, a nationally respected juror with experience in a variety of media will review the displayed artwork and make final decisions prior to the awards ceremony.
The deadline to apply is September 30, 2007. To apply, visit the festival's Web site at www.gasparilla-arts.com; or for more information, email inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
