Teen Author to SpeakCLEARWATER - Author Lynn Marie Smith will discuss her book, Rolling Away: My Agony with Ecstasy and lecture on the dangers of drug abuse and addiction at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. Smith grew up in small-town Pennsylvania, where she was a popular straight-A student. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York City to pursue her dream of acting, and discover a new world that included drugs and addiction. Smith's book is an honest confession of one young woman's frenzied flight into addiction and her long struggle to come back to earth.
