USF Alumni To Square Off Against RowdiesTAMPA, - As part of the Tampa Bay Rowdies/USF Alumni Weekend, former members of the University of South Florida men's soccer team will compete against former Tampa Bay Rowdies in one of two exhibition matches beginning at 4:30 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 15. The men's soccer home match against American University will follow the exhibition matches at 7:30 p.m. as scheduled. The night will kick off with the first match featuring the USF U-40 Alumni team competing against members of the Florida Suncoast Soccer All-Stars in two 30-minute halves of play. The main alumni event will follow at approximately 5:30 p.m., in which alumni of both USF and the Rowdies will take the field. That exhibition will be formatted for 45 minutes of continuous play and will be preceded by a moment of silence in memoriam of two former Rowdies players who passed away this year. USF Alumni, along with the Rowdies participants, will be introduced at halftime of the match against American. The USF Soccer Stadium gates will open at 4 p.m. on Saturday and tickets will be available to the public at costs of $5 for adults, $3 for youth 16-and-under and $2 for groups of 10 or more. One ticket will be valid for the whole night.
