The conference marks the 20th anniversary of the program and will feature two nationally known speakers. The keynote speaker is Dr. Wendy Harpham; a cancer survivor, patient advocate and author of "Happiness in a Storm: Facing Illness and Embracing Life as a Healthy Survivor." Geralyn Lucas is this year's special guest speaker. Lucas was 27-years-old and working at ABC's 20/20 when she discovered a lump in her breast that was diagnosed as breast cancer. Lucas had a mastectomy and subsequently authored, "Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy", which talked about her experience and discussed her attitude about overcoming the challenges of cancer. The book was made into a movie that premiered on Lifetime last October.
The conference will feature a doctors' Q & A panel, educational workshops, professional exhibitors and much more.
