Adult Acting Classes to be Held at Francis Wilson Playhouse

CLEARWATER - The Francis Wilson Playhouse, 302 Seminole St., Clearwater, announces a new program. Adult acting classes will be offered on a year-round ongoing basis at the theatre. Classes will cover the basics of acting with individual instruction based upon the student's level of experience.

Michael Nangle will be instructing and classes will include auditioning, acting vocabulary, preparation, relaxation, voice work, freeing the body, rehearsal techniques, creating a character and more. The class is based on the techniques of acting masters including Stanislavski, Sanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Jon Jory and Eric Morris. It is for beginning, intermediate and advanced actors.

Classes will be held at the Francis Wilson Playhouse on Tuesday evenings, from 7-10 p.m., beginning October 15th. Cost is $200 per 12-week session.

Michael is a teacher, director, actor with a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Theatre. He has participated in productions in Boston, Los Angeles and New York City and has taught theatre at an international university in Ecuador.
