Scottish Band Concert to Benefit Ronald McDonald HouseST. PETERSBURG - The Scottish Cultural Society of St. Petersburg, Inc., a Florida non-profit corporation, together with Dale MacKenzie Gross, Sara Jean Gross, and Kevin Youngberg, are sponsoring a concert by the Battlefield Band, Scotland's premier band, on Saturday, October 6th, at 7 p.m., at The Palladium, 253 Fifth Avenue North in St. Petersburg. The public is invited to attend and be magically transported between centuries past and today as this very versatile band performs traditional and modern Scottish tunes. For more than 30 years, the Battlefield Band has performed on the international scene, and many times they have included the Tampa Bay area in their itinerary. Their music is an integration of bagpipe, fiddle, keyboards, guitar and voice, and they bring joy, passion and laughter to their energetic performances. A portion of the proceeds from this concert will be donated for the benefit of the Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay.
