Clearwater Rotary Meets at Belleair Country Club
CLEARWATER - At Wednesday's Clearwater Rotary Club meeting (October 3rd) Steve Carlisle, third generation Rotarian, past president and an active supporter in many local charities, took everyone on a stroll down Memory Lane. He presented a movie on this community's history including Caladesi Island and the Clearwater Beach Hotel's transformation into the Sandpearl Resort. Pictured above is Steve with his guest Terry Fortner, who is the great granddaughter of Henry Scharrer, who was featured in the movie about his homesteading Caladesi Island in 1888.
