Hotel Density Plan Approved by County CommissionersThis was the second and final public hearing and vote on the ordinance to give local governments the opportunity to allow increased density for hotels. This is an ordinance that was created to support the tourist industry. There has been a decrease in the number of tourists as developers convert hotels, motels and cottages into condominiums. By allowing increased density, developers will have incentives to build tourist lodgings, thus keeping the local economy thriving.
