The three volunteers were busy selling tickets and handing out programs at the event, which featured foods from around the world, arts and crafts vendors, a silent auction, shuttle race, hula hoop contest, jelly bean relay, children's dunk tank, water balloon contest, children's art booth. Kiddie Olympics competition and YMCA "Kinderfest" Run. A stein carrying championship, wife carrying championship, keg throwing championship and polka dancing championship were among the activities for the adults attending. The German band, Lorelai, provided music for the affair.

The game was one of many activities planned for youngsters at Kolb Park that day. Over 4,000 persons were expected to turn out for the festivities.
